Q: What safety measures as ALGARVE WOW adopted to prevent COVID-19 widespread?
A: ALGARVE WOW, in compliance with the commitments arising from the adhesion to the “Clean and Safe” stamp, outlined its Internal Protocol establishing rules and procedures that aim to ensure hygienic and safety conditions while developing its entertaining marine activities, fulfilling all the recommendations of both DGS (Portuguese Directorate-General for Health) and the Portuguese Tourism Board.
Q: What kind of boats does ALGARVE WOW have?
A: ALGARVE WOW has comfortable and exclusive Cobalt bow riders which are mostly used on our programmed boat tours. We also provide Sailing boats, Yachts and bigger boats for parties, corporate events and team building.
Q. How many people can your boats take?
A. Most boats take 8 people. Sailing boats take up to 12 and event boats take from 40 to 200 people.
Q. Do I need to reserve my seat?
A. No. All our boat tours are private so no one else apart from you and your guests will be on-board.
Q. Can I use mobility equipment during my boat tour?
A. ALGARVE WOW welcomes disabled guests but wishes all guests to understand that limitations could exist on-board and during shore stops. The crew members will assist in every possible way.
Q. What is included on your boat tours?
A. Whatever described on each of our programmed boat tours or whatever requested on bespoke options. Please see our Boat Tours and Activities page.
Q. May we take our drinks and food on-board?
A. Yes. There are no restrictions to taking drinks or food on-board. Please note that in case of an alcohol abuse putting guests and the vessels integrity at risk, our Captains are entitled to take action by immediately ending the boat tour.
Q. What languages do crew members speak?
A. Crew members speak Portuguese and English. ALGARVE WOW may provide guided tours in other languages at an extra cost.
Q. Can I use my credit card to pay your service and restaurants?
A. ALGARVE WOW accepts credit card payments. Some restaurants along the Algarve coastline may not accept credit card payments so it is advisable to carry money.
Q. What clothing should I where and what else should I take while boating?
A. We recommend casual and comfortable clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and swimsuit if you like to go swimming. During winter and cooler months you should use warm clothing and have a jacket, gloves also provide comfort. At all times, we advise using sun protection such as sunblock, sun glasses, hat and children should also where lycra clothing which normally offer UV protection. A towel from your hotel should also be considered.
Q. Is there on-board Wi-Fi available?
A. We do offer complimentary Wi-Fi on-board when requested. Please note that Wi-Fi connection availability and speed will vary depending on where the vessel is positioned and the number of users. Wi-Fi may be slow and there may be occasions where no signal is available.
Q. Is smoking allowed on board?
A. Smoking is not permitted while sailing. When moored or on anchor, smokers must ask the Captain where on board is suitable to smoke.
Q. How will the water levels affect my boat tour along the Ria Formosa Natural Park?
A. Tides vary in the Ria Formosa and water levels will somehow determine different itineraries, however, in no circumstance will your boat tour be effected in a way that it cannot proceed.
Q. Is it safe to take my kids on a boat tour?
A. Yes. All our vessels offer safety with an experienced crew. The use of life jackets is suggested by crew members when boarding, to children and to people that do not know how to swim. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Q: Is there a toilet on-board?
A: Our bow riders do not have toilets, however, timely stops occur in places where toilets are available. Our Sailing and event boats have toilets.
Q: Can I take my pets on-board?
A: For safety reasons, no pets are allowed on-board most of our vessels.
